  18. After using a couple of suggestions from mailing list people, I did the
  19. following, assuming you installed with the NT option:

  21. 1. I copied any extra files from the cont32/program on the CDROM to the 
  22.     Newtek/program dir (may not be necessary)
  23. 2. I erased the Newtel/HIIP dir and replaced it with the cont32/HIIP dir
  24.     on the CDROM (again, may not be necessary).
  25. 3. Now the most important thing. I replaced the AVIFIL32.DLL the CDROM
  26.     placed in the Win95/systems dir with a restored copy of the original
  27.     taken from the Win95 CDROM in the Win95 dir. Double click on the 
  28.     WIN95_08.CAB file to see the files within. Highlight AVIFIL32.DLL
  29.     and select extract under file. Extract to the windows/system dir
  30.     to replace Newtek's version. Also, I put it in the Newtek/Program
  31.     dir, just to be safe. If double clicking on the CAB doesn't do 
  32.     anything, it could be I used one of the PowerToys downloaded from
  33.     Microsoft's Win95 WWW site. One of the free software tools was a CAB
  34.     viewer.
  35. I would try step 3 first. This might be the primary cause of the problem.
  36. Also, make sure you have the HIIP plugin's added to Layout through the Options
  37. Add Plugins button.
